Blessed

Not to sound like I'm tooted my own horn, but recently I have been extremely blessed money wise. I mean first working at Mecum's and making around $900, then getting a car for almost free, which I would like to thank my Uncle Steve and Nana for that. Then came mowing as usual which made me a sweet $20 which covered my phone bill, then we had a garage sale which I made $40 at (going to buy Driver: San Francisco with that money and still have ten bucks left.) But the coolest part was that Jake told me that I don't have to pay him that sixty bucks I owed him for my computer. Thank You God for the mysterious ways that you work, Thank You.

You Home-Schoolers Will Love This

So during this past week I had conversations with two people at the auction. One of them being with my Uncle and other with a lady named Diana and the topic of homeschooling came up in both of them. The conversation with Diana went like this; "So do work any where else besides here?" "Yeah I work at kohls." " Oh really, I heard that they have some of the best employees in the business!" " Oh yeah, except for this one girl that I work with, she's homeschooled, so she is really naive and inexperinced."  "Oh! Well out of all of the homeschoolers that I know none of them are naive." " Well she's just different thats all." "Oh." So what you're saying Diana is that all Homeschoolers are naive? Well think again!
Now the one with my Uncle kinda ticked me off a little bit but it went like this; "Oh, hey you missed church today. Do you like going to church?" "Oh yeah!" "Now that's where your girlfriend goes right?" "No" "Well then where does she go to church at?" "I don't have a girlfriend." "What? You don' have a girlfriend?" "Nope." "Well it's probably hard finding girls being homeschooled." "Well fyi I go to classes three days out of the week which have girls in them and there is also church." He had no reply to that comment. Oh so what you are saying Steve is that you think I'm at my house 24/7 doing school and that I never contact to the outside world? Well think again, again!
Homeschoolers are so misunderstood.

Mecum's

For those who didn't know, I worked this week at Mecum's 25th annual auction down at the Indianapolis State Fair Grounds. I had a fantastic time being an information runner for the auction. I also got to see a bunch of cars like Dodge Challengers, Dodge Vipers, Dodge Chargers, Camaros, Corvettes, Ferraris, and even a few NASCARs. I also got to work with awesome girls; Piper, Laura, Hannah, Shannon, Jamie, Jordan and Patty. And getting paid 15 dollars/hour made those 83 hours of work worth it. But there was a few issues that I encountered this week. First off; if I had quarte for every time I saw someone smoking I probably have close to 100 dollars. Secondly; if I had a quarter for every time I heard a cuss word I would have close to 500 dollars.  Another issue was the lack of sleep I got. Getting home at 12:30am each night and having to wake up at six every day wasn't very fun. But all together I had fun and I hope to do it next year!

I guess you could call this our fight song!!!

So my mom comes home one day and she proceeds to tell us what happened that day at work. "Well one of the ladies I work with, her daughter just got a new boyfriend" she said. "So I talked to her about him and she said that she wasn't thrilled with her daughter for choosing him cause he's kind of a nerd." "But this was what got me, she then tells me about him and said that he didn't play any sports, was really good in school, played video games, and was into computer." .............................................."Excuse me?!" I said to my mom. "I know, she exclaimed, I told that she just described my son and my daughter's boyfriend."  " What's wrong with liking that stuff? There could be worse things that we are into!" I replied.
So apparently you're a nerd know if you like video games, don't play sports, are good in school, and are into computers. But you know what they say about nerds? " Be nice to the nerds, because they might be your boss someday."

Green or for my french speaking audience,Vert is my favorite color. Now why is it my favorite? Well let's see. First off green is the color of growth, I mean everyone knows when it's spring time because the leafs and the plants turn green! Secondly, the three best drinks in the world have green in their logos; Mountain Dew, Amp, and Monster. Green is also the color of one of my favorite superheroes, The Green Lantern.

I Think Jake and I are Cursed

Well it's a long story, but here it goes. It all started a couple of months ago when Jake and I helped Doug Denny install security cameras in his laundry mat but while we were there Doug brought his dog to the laundry mat and left him in his car. Jake and I did the job to the best of our abilities and we were feeling good about the job that we had done until later in the week when we got word that Doug's dog died that very same day from dehydration. Jake and I couldn't believe it. I mean we had just saw his dog earlier that day and it was perfectly fine but it gets worse. A couple of weeks after this Jake and I got a call from a couple from our church saying that they needed some furniture moved from their living room because they were getting new carpet. Well for fifty bucks who could resist. So Jake and I did the job, got our money and left with a couple of goodbyes. Well it turned out that those were going to be the last goodbyes we would ever say to the husband, Bob Edgecomb. He died of a heart attack later in the week. Jake and I were stunned, we just looked at each and said " First the dog and now him?" "Something's wrong with us."
So you better think twice before asking Jake and I to do something.

Avengers!

Boss!! That's the only word that can describe that movie!! I saw this movie with my really good friends Anna, Ashley, and Brandon (New movie goers crew right there.) Man it was a fun night last night, with going to McDonalds before and breaking down on the Interstate on the way back made for an unique experience. (Iron Man and Hawkeye FTW!!)

Well I did it! I did the unthinkable and actually gave One Direction a listen, and to tell you the truth they weren't half bad, I actually kinda enjoyed the song. Now I know I'm probably gonna get a lot of crap from my guy friends but that's fine, I can handle it!

What has four strings, a long neck, and is spelled exactly like bass? Yep, that's right. The Bass guitar. Now for a long time I've wanted to learn how to play this instrument and now I might have the chance to, Thanks to my youth pastor who said " If you can buy it, I"ll teach ya!" Yeah Buddy! Finally, bout time, and learning to play shouldn't be that hard, I mean come on shouldn't be to different from Guitar Hero Bass! I even have a list of songs that I want to learn how to play already.
