5 Minute Post

Well I have to write this in five minutes because I want to go to bed at 3:30! Yep 3:30. I mean after having to work from 8-5 and then going to a LAN party with the LSG at 6 and staying until 1, I'm really not all that tired. But that's just mentally, I know that physically I'm about ready to pass out. Luckily tomorrow is Saturday and I could possibly sleep in. Oh and BTW the Oregon Ducks won the Fiesta Bowl last night. GO DUCKS!! Well that is all I could get in five minutes, so see all of you later! Good Night.

p.s. This is some good going to sleep music right here!

Christmas Music

One of the best things about Christmas is the music that comes with it! I look forward each year to when me and my familycan pull out our Christmas music. Each year it's the same music like Selah's Rose Of Bethlehem, MercyMe's Christmas album, Old Navy's Christmas Hits, Phillips Graig and Dean, Alan Jackson, Jump5, or just music on the radio but it never gets old. I also like playing Christmas music. Each fall semester in band I know that we will be playing Christmas songs which makes the Christmas season seem like it goes on forever but that's a good thing.
But like any other time of music we always have our favorite songs. Me personally I like the Christmas carols like God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, O Come, O Come Emmanuel, and What Child Is This better than songs like Jingle Bells and Santa Claues Is Coming To Town, and But all Christmas music is good.(except for blasted Christmas Shoes. Song makes me cry everytime.)
Here is some of my favorite Christmas songs:

                                                                       Selah-Mystery
                                                                                 O Come, O Come Emmanuel
                                                                                 Once Upon A Christmas
                                                                MercyMe-God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
                                                                                  Joseph's Lullaby
                                           Phillips,Craig,andDean-O Come, O Come Emmanuel
Glee Cast-God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
August Burns Red-O Come, O Come Emmanuel
                                                                                 God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

As you can see I really like O Come, O Come Emmanuel and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. There's just something about the way they sound being in minor keys its makes them sound gloomy and some what sad but I love'em! Hopefully this Christmas Season is a good one and full of great music!!

What are some of your favorite Christmas Songs?

It's Been Awhile!

Hello peeps! I know what you are thinking "About time he posted something!" Well I just haven't be in the mood to write a post lately. But not today. Today I got bored and I thought to myself  "You know what I haven't done in awhile, I haven't blogged in awhile. Yeah I'll do that today!" So I got on blogger.com and began. But first I always check out Jana's, Katie's, and Tressia's blogs for some inspiration. So here it is. Well lately I have been kinda busy with the church play coming up this weekend and with starting work at East Church of God plus my birthday last week. So as you can see I've have been a little busy but hey it makes the time go faster! But anyway that's all for now, but there will be more post in the near future!

What A Week

The first highlight of my week was getting a new phone on Monday night with my sister. Then going to the last Angels home game of the season on Tuesday then going out to eat afterwards at Steak 'n' Shake with Jake, Meghan, Sam, Wesley, Anna, Ashley, and Kristi. Then Wednesday rolled around and the usually happened with going to church, then praise team practice after church which was different than usually because we were going to have a combined church service with New Horizons UMC at the UAW building on 29th and Madison on Sunday. After praise team practice Brandon, my youth pastor and Guitarist, my Mom, sister, and I went to McDonald's for the usually after practice grub. Thursday was awesome because I got to hang out with Brandon and his two year old son Eli. He picked me at 1:00pm and we went to Habachi Grill and had lunch. Then we headed to his house and made shirts for Ginny and Emily and we made shirts for Wesley, Kent, Jared or the LSG. Nothing really happened on Friday that was to much out of the ordinary. Then Saturday I went to the Creation Museum with a group from my church, which was an all day event. Then Sunday was the Combined service which went pretty well for limited practice. Then today I learned something awesome; The Story of Nine Lashes:

The LSG

The LSG or League of Single Gentlemen which include Jared, Kent, Wesley and I is a group we made up ever since that ever so awkward Skype call with Wesley and Jared where Wesley asked Jared if he was single. But when I think about it we've been The LSG for quite awhile, ever since the first LAN party we had at Jake's house, which he is kind of in the LSG but he not single so we just had to make an exception for him. Over the past year we have become closer as friends and have discovered that we all face a similar problem. "What game are all of us going to play?" Well with Me liking racing games, Jake liking First person shooters, Kent liking Strategy games, Jared liking free-roam games, and Wesley liking Adventure games, it seems like we can never find a game we all want to play. I mean come on guys, between Minecraft, Starcraft 2, Dirt 2, Black Ops, Half-Life, Halo, Battlefield 2, Battlefront 2, Awesomenauts, and Battlefield 1942 I think we could find something to play. But hey it's whatever.

Fall Time

Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year with Football season starting and fantasy football, The Chase for the Sprint Cup starting in NASCAR (Go Dale Jr. and Matt Kenseth.) But this fall is a little bit more special. First, with starting my Junior year and taking some awesome classes. Second, on October 5th I can upgrade my iPhone 3GS for an iPhone 4GS. Also I could have technically got my license today but the BMV is closed on Monday (just my luck) but I can wait, I'm patient when It comes to things like this. Also my birthday is technically is still in fall as winter doesn't start until December 22nd. 17 baby. Yeah just doesn't have the same ring to it as 16 or 18. Also I'm excited for my sister's birthday on Sep. 29th just four days after The Avengers comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray and as the good brother I am I will make that her birthday present. Lets do this.

A Weird Memory From Camp

After a day of watching both High School Musical and High School Musical 2, It reminded me of Matt McCoy and the band at camp. Now you may be thinking "How do these things have a connection?" Well on  one song that they did, Matt used the intro of Get'Cha Head in the Game as a backing track and later in the week to start off one of the sessions he sang What I've Been Looking For to have at least one song from  High School Musical sang during camp.

First Post in Awhile

Oh man last night was awesome.
It all started around 12:30pm when Kent, Ashley, Brandon and I all got to talking about how when should have a camp-out at our church. We settled on a time of 8:00pm to meet at the church. Well I got there at 8:05 and Kent and I were the only ones there. So we set up his tent, which we ended up not using, and then Jake rolls in 10 min. later and we start working on the camp fire and with Jake being an Eagle Scout, we were in pretty good hands cause he's had to start his fair share of fires. Then Brandon came at about 8:30, then Anna and Ashley came at 9:00 and the good times would begin. We cooked hot-dogs and made S'mores and Brandon provided some nice camp fire songs. After we ate we headed to the parking lot to play knock-out. We played about four rounds of it and after that we were all hurting cause of eating to much and then partaking in too much physical activity. We found ourselves all popping a squat on the pavement and talking about Slender and other scary things which included an episode of Dr. Who and the Weeping Angels. Then all of the sudden Brandon wanted donuts and when he brought donuts up we all wanted some. So all six of us hop in Jake's car and make a run to Deluxe Donuts at about 1:00am. So we pull up to "Double D" as Brandon called it. We went inside and it came my time to order when I hear Kent say "Look at those Double Chocolate Donuts, you know what the look like right?" It just so happened that he thought they looked like poop which was the wrong thing to tell me, cause that was the donut that I was going to order but I ordered it anyway with Chocolate milk as my beverage of choice. After we all eat our Donuts we got back on the road and we were going to head to Muncie 'cause Kent and Brandon wanted to go where they shot Parks and Rec. but Jake said no because didn't have enough gas to get there and back. But we ended driving around Anderson for awhile blaring some Roper out of Jake's speakers. We would get back to the church but we needed more firewood and Kent, Ashley and I all wanted Venom energy drinks. So went to Pay Less, at this time it's probably 2:30. We bought our stuff and were heading out the door when Anna and I see these motorized wheelchairs, so we decided to have a race to Jake's car. The race was close but I beat her to the car. So now that we had everything we headed back to the church which is just across the street from our church. We unloaded everything from the car and sat by the fire for a little bit. Then 3:30 rolls around and Anna decides to call it quits and 4:00 comes and Jake bows out as well, leaving Kent, Ashley, Brandon, and I as the only ones awake. However Brandon had to leave at six so he was just going to stay up til six. Now Kent, Ashley, and I didn't want him to be the only awake so we stayed up with him. 6:00 o'clock came and Brandon headed out. Kent, Ashley and I were now all thinking the same thing " It's pointless to go to sleep now." So we toughed it out and pulled an all-nighter and at seven o'clock we got to see the Sun come up, for me personally it was second ever sunrise that I've seen. The other when we were heading down to Myrtle Beach and we had to leave at 3 in the morning and the Sun ended up not coming up until we got to Tennessee. Back to the camp-out. So then at 7:30 the three of us that stayed up decided to play more knock-out and while we were playing we saw Anna wake up so we headed back to the fire ring and we just sat there until 9:30, then we packed everything up and headed out leaving behind great times and  unforgetable memories.

What I Did Over the Past Week

Well first off on the Saturday after I got back from camp; Ben, Mandy, Anna, Jake, Ashley, Angela, Meghan and I all went up to Lake Miss-whatcha-ma-call-it and had a great time water skiing, swimming, and tubing. Oh man good times. well during the week I really didn't do much until Thursday when really the only thing exciting was transferring Steam Games from my one Hard-Drive to the other. Then Friday the Family and I went down to Indy to go to Sam's Club and go mattress shopping. Saturday was a day of cleaning the house and Today, well today was awesome. After church we went to Noblesville to do more shopping and to watch Avengers, cause my parents hadn't seen it yet. But on the way there while on the interstate there was was a car that caught on fire and caused a traffic jam, which made for a great second time driving on the interstate. Other than that not much has happened yet this summer. And now I leave you with an awesome song.

Peace out.
